Transmision System

Transmission systems, in automotive, is a system that works for the conversion of torque and speed (rotation) of the engine torque and speed to be different to be forwarded to the final drive. Conversion is changing the high rotation speed is lower but more powerful, or vice versa.
The highest torque of a machine generally occurs at about the middle of the engine rev limit allowed, while the vehicles require high torque at start moving. In addition, vehicles that run on a hiking path requires a higher torque than the car that runs on a flat road. Vehicles that run on low speed requires a higher torque than high speed. With the operating conditions of these different transmission systems are required for energy needs can be met by the machine.

Type

1. Manual transmission.
2. Automatic transmission.
3. Semi-automatic transmission

The main components

* Clutch (clutch) or the torque converter. Clutch is used for manual transmissions and semi-automatic and automatic transmissions, torque converters used in automatic transmissions.
* Transmission, also known as the gears.
